2nd Use – 2017

2nd Use evolved as part of a challenge held at our university. The goal was to create something 3D-printable that also addresses social or environmental issues. We created a series of customizable 3D-print-to-order accessories for glass jars. Using recycled filament any glass jar can be given a second use and fulfill all type of new requirements. The concept also involved launching a website and pop-up-store, so that customers could order their own accessory for their particular glass jar. The main social and environmental goal was to raise awareness for consumption and plastic waste, as well as embracing a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
