Hey there! I am Alejandro, a 21-year-old Spanish-German industrial design student born and raised in Germany. Before I graduated from High-School I knew that I wanted to become an industrial designer. I was simply fascinated by products and objects great designers had brought to life. The will to create something new, something better, paired with a decent amount of curiosity about our surrounding world is still present today and is what drives me as a designer and person. I enjoy simple things that bring joy to my life. I like to ride my bicycle on and off-road to see the world and enjoy nature, I like camping, I like to build RC airplanes myself and shoot video with them, I like film photography with my Olympus cameras, I like tea and Pocari Sweat, I like food and I like to create things. My main focus on design has shifted slightly from furniture to mechatronics and robotics including products with electronics and complex mechanical parts that have to interact and work together seamlessly. In addition, I am becoming more and more interested in mobility and housing, which I am sure will be one of the most important things designers will be confronted with in the future. From September 2017 to March 2018 I did an internship at serien.lighting, a well known german luminaire manufacturer with in-house designers. As a member in the product development team, I was able to enhance my creative skills and work on the "Reflex 2", as well as the packaging for "Rod" and the catalog with renderings for the light+building 2018.
